Ever needed to open one of those Tomes from a set of System Software install disks? Wanted to know, for example, which version of the WorldScript Power Adapter you'd get from a German 7.5.3 Update 2.0 install -- without going through a long and large footprint install?
Now you can.
TomeViewer will open an installer compressed file tome and allow you to view the tome's contents. You can also expand and extract any of the items which reside in the tome. Finally, you can use the "Show Info..." menu item to view more detailed information concerning the item.
What's New for version 1.2d4:
• Support for tomes with large number of items in the archive list. (Displays large number of items correctly.)
• Version information now listed in main view window.
• Information Viewer now displays correct creation and modification dates. (Previously, the date displayed as the modification date was actually the creation date.)
• TomeViewer now NEVER touches the modification date of an archive.
• Region country code and localization revision are now displayed along with the version information for files compressed with InstaCompOneTool 1.1.1b1 or FileCrusher 1.2d4.
Known limitations:
• TomeViewer is not capable of opening tomes of type/creator 'ircp' rather than 'idcp'. 'ircp' is the type given to tomes that have individual resources compressed into them rather than files.
• Off by one vertical scrolling bug in viewer window.
